As to the first one when we reference the child we never know how their life will turn out. We try and try to do our best....and then life comes in and tosses them around to find their true grit. We want the best for our children. We can prepare them, love them, support them.
In the second one, we can only hope that as the childhood events repeat they are quality events. However, with this second quote I personally feel that we each have the power to change the events that trip us up, if we want to. Hopefully by doing so we end with a better quality of life. It can be a struggle.
