Do you have some fondue recipes you would like to share. i dip marshmallows in mine in dark chocolate. I'd like some good recipes for my fondue, but like to hear from my friends. Any good ones?
I have a bunch of recipes but have never made any of them. I've got a fondue set, no idea where it is, was going to freecycle it but my daughter Becca begged me to keep it. I guess now that she's set up housekeeping for herself I should give it to her. If I ever find it. :-)
My brother and his family have made fondue a traditional New Years Eve event. I've joined them a couple of times and loved it. Takes forever to eat a meal, but the fun and family comraderie was worth every minute! My SIL made sauerkraut balls one year, have no idea how she did it but, they were scrumptious!
I've made the traditional fondue with swiss cheese, but I also have a recipe for a very easy and quick fondue: cook six slices bacon in a skillet til crisp. Remove bacon, pour out grease, but don't clean skillet. Set the bacon aside and toss a half cup chopped onions into the skillet cook til tender/translucent, but not brown. Turn heat down to low and stir in 2 tsp flour, then add 1 lb processed American cheese, 2 cups sour cream and 1 teaspoon Worcester sauce. Heat and stir until cheese is melted. Pour into fondue pot and crumble bacon on top of fondue. Set fondue pot onto heater/burner. Great with french bread chunks, mushrooms, cauliflower, brocoli and/or carrot pieces.
