I live in South Florida, where we have very little change in season. This week our overnight temperatures have been in the blissfully cool 60's range although daytime temps go back to the 80's. However, the cool breeze has been remaining throughout the day, so it's been pleasant for walking despite the actual temperature.
No rain, and none expected, means that our drought conditions are raising our water bills, as the lower Lake Okeechobee gets, the more they fine us for using the amount of water we need. We have cut back, but our latest water bill was $100. Granted, that includes sanitation (garbage & recycling) but in my neighborhood we are still charged a sewer fee, despite the fact that we're all on septic tanks here.
Oh well... I digress. Anybody got snow?
: )

We have a drought too; though last week we had a huge downpour it just rushes straight into a river then into the ocean!
Have a great day!
Ana, I think it might have been nearly that cold down here overnight... I'm not that far South of you.
Ah... Michele... can I come visit you? LOL
David, does that mean the airport can't let planes takeoff and land?
This morning I had a squirrel sitting on my porch, I think he was begging to come in. I opended the door and stayed his ground. I closed the door, and he stayed. Help, I am trapped in my house by a squirrel. LOL, too early for cabin fever.
Keep on going on ;-o
My son is leaving Connecticut on a 9:30 flight to Georgia, with a layover in Chicago. He's in the Navy Submarine School and about halfway through with his training. We are hoping to see him for Thanksgiving!
Michele, I wish I could!
Yes its spring. our summer starts in december& goes thru to feb.
I used to live closer to the coast; i kind of miss that but i have mountains instead.
I went out with the puppy this morning and got a big chilly... but nothing a light jacket and some shoes/socks wouldn't fix. It's warming up except for the breeze.
We also have lots of big trees here in the central part of the state and a huge squirl population. They are especially busy this time of year harvesting the nut crop (mostly acorns). The trees are beautiful with their changing leaf colors in the bright sunlight and temperatures in the 60's.
I hope you are all suitably envious of my state. :-)
Thanks for dropping by JoAnne & Mark!
Looking forward to seeing your photos, Roses!
Larry, you don't live too far from my Aunt. We visited her in '92... very pretty country there.
Penni, it was about that cool here early this morning, but it's warming up now.
Harrel, I slept in 'til about 7 this morning. Sorry! LOL
Ewwwwwww! Dead lizards in the water! Yuck!
Wow, Sherrie, you get a huge variation there, eh?
Lora, thanks for stopping by!
Lisa, I love that show. I wish we could have them fix our house up... but there's nothing really tragic enough about my family to make them pick us. On the other hand, I'm grateful for the second half of that sentence!
Suze, that's about how I'd characterize the weather down here, too. Gorgeous weather right now... I've been outside with the puppy quite a bit today.
Dan! Thanks for dropping in!
Thanks for the kind words on Final Countdown!
I'll pass along your request for a reviewers copy to my publisher. Of course, with the holiday's coming up, tell Santa he can get a copy on Ebay for less than retail. Somebody even got a hold of a galley proof and put it up as some kind of rare literary artifact--funny ole world!
Best to your family!
PDD
Thanks for coming by Charlotte... it's never too late!
