I spent 4 and 1/2 years at the most horrible place to work. It started out so well but ended up crashing down so much that I wanted to just quit, but I could not afford to do so. Now that I've moved on, I've been thinking a lot about some of the events and people there at my old job. I'm thinking of writing a book about the whole experience. It'd be a lot like Office Space with a hint of Dilbert, but it would entirely true.
What I'm wondering is how to approach this. I don't want to make it too obvious which company I am writing about, nor do I want some of the people to be easily identified. Anybody out there ever written about real folks who you'd rather them not know they inspired your characters? How did you handle the situation?
