So not too long ago, I submitted a photo of my baby to a photo contest, a really cute one of him in the kitchen sink with this funny little look on his face. It got rejected because of "the pornographic nature" of it. Now, it is awesome that the Powers That Be are cracking down on child pornography (and even though I am a screaming liberal, to hell with Freedom of Expression and bring on the Internet Stings to catch the sick bastards!), but really, isn't this taking things a little too far? I have looked and looked at this particular image, and can't see how this can in any way be pornographic, can you?
So my question here is, what it pornography, to you? Is it a particular kind of image? Is it how it makes you feel? Is there "legitimate" art that is considered pornography in some quarters? I am really quite interested in your opinions-not what the critics would say, or your mother. (BUT: Please, don't be crude OR attack anyone else for expressing their opinion. I won't either. I don't think.)

Plus, I can see just as much of your VERY cute baby, as I see of all the kids at a swim meet of which I have six. Does that mean we shouldn't be taking pictures of our swim kids? How about children at the beach? Could go on... It's all how you take it... I think whoever sent you the rejection that it was of 'a pornographic nature' should be having a reality check...
This is adorable. I have numerous pics of my son in the sink 7 tub.
those are the best/cutest pics going.
What a darling baby and photo! I have a few like that of my own kids.
People are getting so paranoid. Afraid of getting sued.
I don't even know the definition of pornography....I'll look it up:
1. Explicit representation of sexual activity in literature, films, etc., intended to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic or emotional feelings. 2. literature etc. containing this. (Oxford Dictionary of Current English)
Yes, obviously we are all sickos here!!
That picture is NOT porn. Just read the meaning of porn in the above post and it seems clear. None of the other pictures are either.
While someone may not like a picture does not make it porn!
Seems the catalogs almost fit this along with many ads, yet the kids in the tubs pictures (taken by parents) never even get close.
What is wrong with this??? I can come up with many things, bet you can too.
Not printing family pictures, humm seems again that we are being told what we can and can't do. Guess that is one more reason to use digital.
I would doubt that any pron producer would use a commerical photo printing company. Either they will be digital or do their own printing.
The whole thing seems pretty stupid considering what is on the web that all can get to and that there is no attempt to control that (or at least a very limited attempt). I agree bring on the Interent stings, shut down the porn stores, and get rid of the producers of this sick junk, but leave the parents alone that have a cute picture of their child/children!
I FEEL THE SAME WAY
In the future, we may have to have their current photo, their written permission (ha ha) and their birth certificates in order for that to happen.
Insane! Cute picture!
what is porno is anything that is sexualy degrading, That does not include full frontal or rear nudity period. Could you imanine where we would be in medical science if we all thought nudity was bad ? The human body is a beautiful wondrous gift your body is perfect and beautiful and that baby is adoreable
