Guess what I bought today???

I did get to spend my Borders gift card today and I purchased Math subtraction flash cards for my son to practice.  I purchased two self help books on CD.  I have six dollars left and will wait til next time to spend the rest.

 

I also bought a new vaccuum today.  I decimated the other one this morning.  My old vaccuum was only 2 months old and I killed it.  I dropped it two weeks ago and broke the handle and today it wouldn't turn on................so I splurged and bought an Oreck.

It has a 21 year warranty/service contract...TWENTY ONE YEARS.........you take it in yearly for manitenance and they completely tear it apart  and disinfect and oil it up and you get a LOANER while they are taking care of it.  If it ever breaks you get a loaner and they will fix it FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did not have to buy a extra contract or anything, it is standard with the price..........Don't let me fool you it was a lot of money for a vaccuum, but the way I go through them I think I need an indestructable one...LOL........ At least they guarantee their product, which is a lot more than I can say for a lot of companies out there these days.....

Wow..that's really neat Danielle..I heard that Oreck is a really good brand. Good luck with it and at least you have the comfort of knowing that if something happens to it you can get it fixed :)

I love my Kirby Generation 4, but it's very heavy. I bought an inexpensive Eureka to keep and use upstairs. No more lugging a heavy vacuum up and down.
When you said "Guess what I bought today?" I immediately guessed more Thanksgiving decorations!

Wow, their warrenty is unbelievable nowadays. With what I have paid for vacs, along with "extend service agreements", I could have gotten an Oreck. And I would still have the vacuum long after the other service agreements expired!

How do you like it so far?

My sister has an oreck and she swears by it. I only have tile, I sweep and mop daily. I miss vacuuming.

They are very light, but it does not have the attachments...you get a second vacuum for the attachments if you want it...I don't need it...we have little hand vacs for the stairs...so I just went with the basic model. It is great so far...I've vaccuumed the whole house since I've brought it home and I love it.

You also get to rent their carpet cleaner 3x a year for FREE,\...I scheduled my first rental for tuesday...gotta be clean for Thanksgiving.

I went a few months without a vacuum for the house and hauled the shop vac in from the garage. Vacuums are crucial!!

Congrats! I have a Hoover and love it. My grandma, my mom, and I have all owned Hoovers and had real good luck with them. In fact, I've had two. The first one I loaned to a neighbor and she broke it. I never loaned anything to her again!!

I have mostly hardwood floors and lineoleum on my first floor and specified to the salesguy that I needed a vacuum that would suck in the dirt on my hardwood floors and not blow it around like my last vaccuum did..
I am loving this vacuum, it is TOTALLY better than sweeping on the hardwood. It is great on carpet too!!!
