You can learn anything you want on whatever subject you want. You
don't need to go to school if you want op learn about law
enforcement, real estate, leadership, entrepreneurship, managing
your money, nutrition, fitness etc.
Jim Rohn said that formal education will make you a living but
self-education will make you a fortune. But what is self-
education? Well, a self-educated person is a mostly self-taught
person or an autodidact. A self-educated person has also learned
how to learn versus how to be taught.
I would suggest 3 simple and best ways I found to acquire a new
skill or learn anything you want.
First, read books. The book that you don't read won't help you. I
suggest taking 10 or 15 books from your closest library and study
them. When you have read them, partially or entirely, create your
own. Gather all the information you just learned create your own
product, with your own perspective on the subject.
Listen to audio tapes. If you travel to go to work, you spend
about 500 and 1,000 hours in your car. Turn this driving time
into learning time and get the equivalent of months of formal
education, just by driving from place to place. And again, take
notes as a mind map for example, gather your information and
continue your own book.
Attend seminars. You can learn so fast by attending a 3-day
seminar, sometimes more than going to school for 1 year. Usually,
the person who give the seminar is an expert, and as such, know
all the tricks, tips and techniques to do and all the things to
avoid to learn the new skill or develop the new idea.
Another great way, and this is my favorite is having someone
helping, someone special. If you want to know more about this
fourth way, I invite you to discover my free NLP 5-part
