I thought this quote was food for thought.
"The truth is more important than the facts." -- Frank Lloyd Wright
What do you think about this? Is there a difference between truth and facts? Is it a significant difference or is this speaker just playing with semantics?
If what he says is accurate, what is the highest truth you know? What other truths does this root truth lead you to believe/know as reality?
I think what he says is true. Truth is definitely more important than facts. You can know all the facts in the world, but does that make a real difference in your life? There's a reason they named the board game Trivial Pursuit . . . . I think when you can hold something in your heart as truth, it helps define who you are, and says a lot about where you have been in your life.
The highest truth I can cling to is that there is a God, and he died on the cross to forgive my sins so I could be free from death and condemnation in the next world. This belief leads me to know all life is sacred, specially and uniquely created with a design in mind. This belief leads me to show caring and concern for other living things (or at least strive to as best I can each day). This leads me to know that my children are precious, and my primary duty is to care for those closest to me, like my husband and kids, my parents and in-laws, then friends and further out the local community and so forth.
So what about you?

Example - Truth is a woman killed her husband. Facts - she was beaten and left for dead. Husband then went after their child, mother managed to get up and get off one shot, killing the husband and saving the child.
I think it also depends on how you view the truth and facts, to some they maybe the truth others facts. So on and so forth.
Happy new year to you.
