Naptime

As you know we felines desire great amounts of sleep.  I prefer to sleep in the sun or where it is warm.  I like to sleep on the computer desk when Grems is working there, but she pushes me off and she tells me NO.  I would really like to sleep on the thing that spews out paper at strange times during the day and night, but she forbids that in no uncertain terms.

In the winter I wriggle my way into the drawers under the bed to sleep.  It is warm there and it is dark.  No one can find me and I can make a nice nest on the soft clothes there.  Grems scolds me for sleeping there, but what is a cat to do when there isn't enough sunshine to sleep in and it is cold.  I am just looking to meet my needs.  I do not understand why there is such a fuss.  I find my fur very comfortable and I do not understand why she is so against having it on her clothes.

I also like to sleep on the bed.  It is warm and it is quiet during the day.  Sometimes I sleep next to bunny who sleeps on the bed.  Bunny sometimes talks to me and I give bunny a bath.  Grems scolds me when I do that to.  Bunny does not mind when I give it a bath or sleep on it.

I like to sleep on the big person's side of the bed.  It is close to where the warm air comes from.  He will sometimes come and scratch my head.  I can't help but purr when he does that.  He will pick me up and scratch my neck.  I don't stay because I must keep my image of being a cat of independent ways.

During the night I prowl about the house keeping it safe from intruders.  Except when I get tired and then I sleep next to Grems because she does not kick me off the bed.  She thinks I sleep there because I like her, but I am a cat of independent ways. I sleep there so she thinks I like her best and then she will give me good treats.
