In Yet Another Media Frenzy While We Watch the Proceedings to Impeach Cheney the Bush Administration Laughs and Invades Iran

Officially the Vice President of The United States has very little political power.  Influence sure but power no.

The real  role Cheney plays  in the Senate is more of a high paid babysitter than anything else.  He only votes if there is a tie and enforces rules. 

So why is everyone hell bent on impeaching him?  He has only the power the President allows him to have.

Is Cheney the power behind the puppet President Bush?  There are plenty of people that think that way but I have seen no concrete proof of this.

The real reason why the Impeachment may go through?  While we are glued to C-Span with a pointless impeachment proceeding (he's out of there in a little over a year anyway)the real news will be happening and no one will notice.

I do hope that your prediction about an attack on Iran is wrong. That would be a terrible thing for the President and Congress to do.

I don't believe that Cheney has committed any impeachable offenses. He is offensive, to be sure.

As much as I can't stand Cheney, I don't think the impeachment will go through. In fact, I think the proceedings are a waste of our tax dollars.

Joe that was just my attention getting headline. Honestly in order to impeach and REMOVE Cheney there would have to be proof he actually did something wrong and since he really is just a figurehead then it is going to be almost impossible to remove him from office.

Bob that is just it. What is Cheney guilty of...being a shady person...probably. He didnt even VOTE for the war...he couldnt there wasnt a tie.

Yes, Peter. That's the problem. It is so embarrassing when you shoot your friend in the face. What got me was that the guy apologized to Cheney. Oh well, I digress.

I, too, think the proceedings are misguided and a waste of resources. Follow the money trail and you'll find a trail to the real crimes committed and the persons responsible, but does anyone really think he would be so stupid to leave himself open? If anything, Bush will be left to hold the bag on anything that may be uncovered. That's the beauty of it all!

GWB has good handlers for a lame duck president. Cheney, on the other hand, handles himself quite well. He is a terrible excuse for a human being but is smart enough not to break the law. He dances close to the line but never crosses it.

When I lived in WY, where Cheney is from, we almost went to work on one of his ranches. We decided it was too far from the schools.
As far as those living there in WY, there is a difference of opinion about his affairs in politics, but he was elected to the state Congress. From there to the White House.
He has developed a very bad aim though for someone from out west.
The man is doing his duty as he sees fit, which I agree, how much does a Vice President get to do?

Answering a question with a question. How much brain matter does it take that when a human being is in front of you DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT FIRE the gun! The way I heard Cheney swung on a bird and fired without having a clean line of fire. One of the first rules I learned in hunting..know what your shooting at!

Did anyone see that spoof of the guy cheney shot....they posted his pic (before dicky shot his face off) on Elvis and he was singing I'm all Shook up tune but they changed the words to I'm all shot up?

It was friggin hillarious. I had it bookmarked but it mysteriously disappeared from the internet.

*sigh* You all talk as if you believe congress should be doing things like securing the border and funding more border guards....no wait.....they gutted the funding out of that bill. Personally I call a pox on both their houses and will vote against every incumbent in November 2008. n
