Since the military is being run into the ground by this reckless White House, the army has to lower its standards again.
Faced with recruiting goals, the Pentagon is quietly looking for ways to make it easier for people with criminal records to join the military. Relaxing the rules on how waivers are granted will help.
Army recruits get waivers for bad behavior — drugs, stealing, carrying weapons at school and fighting.
3 in every 10 recruits already get a waiver according to Pentagon statistics. Some recruits must get more than one waiver to cover things ranging from a criminal record, to health problems, to low aptitude scores, and even some for the nature of their tattoos.
Getting these waivers take time. Relaxing waiver requirements may make it easier for the Army to meet increased pressure for recruits.
