Sometimes...

....I can be such a moron!

Don't tell Ross I said that; I get in major trouble for making such disparaging remarks about myself. About anyone else is okay, but not about myself.

Anyway - I am ill. I knew last night before I went to bed that I was ill - but got up this morning and decided to head to school anyway.

Got about halfway before I realized exactly how big an idiot I was being.

There are no stops between here and there. Once you're on the highway, that's it. No nice gas stations with facilities. Bad planning. Puking on the side of the road is no fun, but is possible. Other things are not!

Of course, if one is so ill that they are unable to make a 30 minute drive without a pit stop ..... 

And then I realized that if one is inclined towards falling down going boom to begin with - and even moreso when she is ill - to be on the road at all - or to consider spending 6 hours in class (plus 4 more hanging out - somewhere - between classes) - just isn't very bright.

I am - supposedly - relatively bright.

According to my profs, in the top 2% of students even (wish they'd give me marks that reflected that!)

The fact that I was out on the road this morning suggests otherwise.

But at least I did have the sense to turn around and get my butt home. And made it without doing the fainting thing - well, not until I actually was sitting at my desk writing emails to profs and students that will hopefully take notes for me, anyway.

I am going back to bed.
