Sam The Turkey

It was the morning before Thanksgiving

as Sam the Turkey awaited his fate

He knew the time was soon approaching

when he would be the main dish

Oink Oink bumbled Freddy the Pig

what you must do is run away

Hee Haw I agree said Pedro the Donkey

as he chewed on some hay

Hurry! Hurry! cried Zoila the Chicken

I can hear the farmer approaching it might be too late

So Sam the Turkey said goodbye to the farmyard

and off he went to a fate better than being dinner

It was just before noon when Sam at the arrived at the zoo

Hello Mr. Turkey exclaimed Fred the Camel as he lumbered towards Sam

Where are you going? He did ask

As he took another bite from the apple in his mouth

I am running away before I become dinner, Sam did say

looking for a place where turkeys can live out their lives

Hello Sam it nice too see you, a voice did shout

looking around Sam did see,

his old friend Robert the Turkey running towards him

Hey Sam you can join the petty zoo

just like I did Robert did say

So Sam the Turkey finally found

a place he could live and never become 

the center dish at Thanksgiving Dinner
