GEEZ WOMEN!!! hahah im gald i walk everyday for an hour soo hahahah your not talking about me plus you know I HATE MY BODY!!

I am so about to post the article that started this rant... Hang on

In my case, most of it is genetics working against me. ALL the women on both sides of the family have all been overweight. I did great until I hit my 30s and I have fought it ever since then.

In most cases though, I must agree with you.

I understand genetics and I understand true physical inability... But seriuosly read the article that started it all... It might push you as well as it did me

Whoa mad woman in Oklahoma....you are "assuming" you know it all - let me suggest that when you use the words or phrases:

" lazy, shows,
difficult to get off your ASS ,
don't want to do something to truly benefit themselves,
failure to take care of "

you are making a huge mistake....there are MANY who have a genetics concern...some of the food we eat today is so processed there are links to not only obesity but cancer...this is food the FDA has allowed be enhanced...Both Parents are working now so a lot of time its easier to get fast food to feed the kids...and kids can[t be in after school activities, cause no one will be there to take them or pick them up...stress in daily living creates bad eating habits...

These are just a minuscule number of reasons.....but most definitely not the majority you describe....I would suggest that if you are going to post more about this concern you use your "spelling correction key"

I think that's awfully judgmental -- some people are just lazy but not every obese person is a lazy person. I work 25-30 hours a week, plus care for 4 children and a husband and our 2 dogs. I am up before the sun and in bed way after it sets. I barely have time to sit down many days and yet I do not lose any weight but continue to gain. I do not eat a ton of junk food. I have asthma, IBS, fibromyalgia and other fun conditions that affect my energy level and mobility. Yes, most days it simply IS too hard to get up off my ass for that extra 30 minutes but well, when they come up with a 50 hour day, maybe I will have time . . . and yes I know all the statistics and health risks, etc. Don't be so quick to generalize.

Good rant but I think you are missing a point about americans.
They eat more fast food than ever, which I believe is a big contributor to the number of overweight people here. Have you ever noticed how many people eat in their cars these days? It is really kind of gross!
They (we) also work longer hours, leaving less time to stay physically fit.
And all those ready to cook meals at the store----yuck.

I also agree with that anna... I had a battle with convinience not too long ago... And anyone who truly knows me knows I won't spend much time in the kitchen... Even though I love to cook... My meals take 20 mins max... LOL

OK TRINITY KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE TO BE OBESE SHE ONCE WEIGHED 205 POUNDS I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT i AM HER BEST FRIEND SHE LET HER SELF GO FOR A WHILE THEN REALIZED WHAT SHE WAS DOING TO HER SELF THEN DECIDED THAT SHE NEEDS TO TAKE CARE OF HER BODY AND DID YES SHE HAD HER STRUGGLES BUT SHE DID IT!!

No wonder she is so obsessed. Losing weight became the focus of her life while that was going on.

I don't get it either. I find the physical appearance of fat people appalling. It always cracks me up though when fat people will complain about not being able to do things because of their weight, or complaining about how their insurance is more because of it.

Yes Olga... I am obsessed... I am... I really want people to be healthy... That's all...

Well Leslie- That was quite mean... I am not attacking fat people I am just saying why doesn't anyone want to fix it... To make a change for the better... Expecially when it's affecting their health

leslie yes it is very mean... if you were in our shoes you would see our struggles first hand and see that some of us to want to change our lives and say stuff that can make them only feel worse about themsleves

I know you try and I know you've had you're up's and downs along with the best of us... But I am proud of you for tyring... Just thought I'd let you know that
