I am so disappointed I did not ride this when I was at Universal a few weeks ago.
=========================
Another early Universal Studios ride has closed. "Earthquake - The Big One," which was a train ride through a collapsing San Francisco. The ride allowed riders to see how Hollywood used to handle big special effects, the ride, located in the San Francisco section of the theme park has closed today.
It will be replaced within weeks by a newly-themed attraction, called "Disaster!"
According to Universal Orlando resort, the ride should repen by the December rush.
The new ride will have more of an interactive experience and no specific movie tie in.
The new ride's full name will be "Disaster! A Major Motion Picture Ride ... Starring You."

FirstAlfred Hitchcock the Birds, then Murder She wrote, then King Kong, then Back to the Future, now Earthquake....
I am certain I have missed one or two.
They are closing all of the old orginal rides...
Both Universal theme parks (like Walt Disney World) are a way to "escape" and have a day off from everyday life - for me ;-)
They are changing theme, and offering more of an interactive ride, so the ride so be similar.
We were planning a trip for a few weeks from now, when my father was going to be visiting, but those plans fell thru :( HOpefully next year for our daughters 2nd bday we will go!!
