A woman I know introduced me to a concept not that long ago that she called a "coupon community". As she described it it was a group of people in different areas who would get a packet of coupons in the mail from one of the other people, take what they needed or wanted and hopefully put in coupons they had that they wouldn't use and then send the packet on to the next person. This sounded like a wonderful thing for someone like me who loved the savings I got from coupons but often found myself throwing out unused coupons at the end of the month.
Unfortunately she only got a response from me and one other woman who was interested in getting involved. So, still thinking this was a wonderful and novel concept I offered to do some research and see if I could recruit more people. In the process of trying to find a way to recruit more people I discovered that this was an idea that was not new to most people like it was to me and was more commonly called a coupon train not community. Even though it appeared that most people were already involved in an established coupon train I tried posting about it somewhere I thought I might get a few responses and ended up with only one response after a week.
So I guess what I am getting at here is - is there anyone out there who is not already involved in something like this and would like to become involved in something like this?
