why bad people happen to good people

Because they can

they take and take

because they can 

they take and break

and dont care.

 they move on

 and say its the right thing to do

 and they dont stop to explain

 this is just what they are like

 but the good thing about

bad people happening to you

is that you appreciate the good people 

that are there for you 

that take the time to explain and talk and walk 

that care and show it in every way

there is no light without dark

and no dark without light

but some people are very mean 

and when you see them coming 

you need to walk down another street

protect yourself with the shield of the good

bird songs, autumn leaves, pretty songs, paint brushes

in which to paint over the grey

a bright orange, a vivid blue, a daring scarlet

anything to make you feel good.

There is nothing good about feeling bad 

there is a time to feel sad but there is a time

to feel glad,

paint the grey with colors

dance in the pile of autumn leaves

and never forget to sing

that is the only way to win
