...that's what I need!
so many things I could - should - be doing....
and I am trying.
But I seem to have lost any real sense of focus; feels as though I am spinning my wheels and getting nowhere.
My papers suck!
My novel hasn't moved since my computer crash - I lost a chapter or so in that - and have yet to get back at it. I need to get that done.
Same for my Honours Essay - lost a file I need - so have to recreate it. I don't want to - redoing is boring. So I haven't moved forward on that either.
I WAS focused on my poetry essay - determined to get it done. But then ~god~ changed the due date and suddenly I'm spinning there as well.
I want to hand it in anyway - get it off my plate. But I keep changing my mind about which question to do, which poets, which ~sections~ ....
And I know that there are due dates coming up quickly re: applying for grad school and I haven't done a damn thing about those.
My bad. Very, very bad. Going to end up shooting myself in the foot if I don't SMARTEN THE HECK UP!

Thought I would get ONE thing accomplished today at least - went online and TRIED to apply for one of the university programs - made the mistake of going to the FAQ and lost the whole blessed application.
I am SO impressed. NOT.
How about doing one thing for 15 minutes, if that is not working then switch to something else. Try rerading a little of one of the poet's or just considering what the paper will look like if you do question a versus question b. or go for a friggin walk! move the body a get some air.
When I get stuck I clean the bathroom, takes a concentrated amount of time, but it is limited and then I can usually get something moving.
Have a good and and I will check in with you this evening.
Grems
makes my mouse not work very well... beyond that it bites!
another thing I should get round to doing - either figuring it out or taking it back
Take a couple of baby steps to start. A sentence here. A paragraph there. When I feel like I've made even some tiny progress, things fall in place a little easier.
And have a wine cooler tonight.
love ya and I know you can do it.
Make a list, and don't jump around on projects...just finish something and cross it off. As the list gets smaller, your focus will improve...promise!
guess what my sister pays for water?! $50 / month ... that is LESS THAN HALF WHAT WE ALREADY PAY
1. Make a list of everything and prioritize it. What is most important to least important.
2. Whether I want to do it or not, do what is #1 and stay with it until it is finished.
When I have found that my first task is finished, it motivates me to move on to the next. I have to be kind to myself enough to allow breaks but pushy enough on myself to get back at it whether I want to or not! LOL! I have become my own mother! Ack!
PAY IT FORWARD
I feel for you so much. I wish I could do something.
