I have to let you know that articles like those, in which the author specifically solicits the community to drive up his/her point totals, is not allowed. There is nothing wrong with using articles to chat. But Gather Points are meant to accrue naturally as you interact with the community by commenting, posting content, and connecting with others. When the point system is squeezed artificially like this, it takes away from the points available to the community at large.

I don't want you to think I'm being overy harsh, but I think you need to get your priorities straight. You make promises that yo simply can't keep in a timely fashion. People will support you if they trust you, but if they feel trust is broken they will ignore you, or even flag you. I've never flagged anyone. Trust is the key to any relationship. Please understand this.

hey chuck,i gotta give you credit for fessing up and my hats off to you,for you are the only person i have ever seen on this site that said i was the one,but man,if you keep flagging people for doing what gather promotes,your a hypacrit(my opinion only of course)

people,here are the facts of Gather since the gather peeps wont tell ya..dont believe me..go to a friends house,and read what gather is about from an account that hasnt been created yet.they say this in black in white,unless it has changed since March or may,cant remember when i joined..but....

Gather tells you before you join..post anything for points to redeem for gift cards.but when one tries to gain points.they haveta go to bed without desert..

c'mon,is it me or does anyone see some hypacritical goings on herein?

i don't care what Gather peeps say,everyone,and i do mean everyone is on this site for points,,anyone who tells otherwise is a liar with a capital "L".

(my opinion only again-i haveta say this or i get a timeout,hehe)

if gather took the points away,most people would leave gather,last week there was a poll saying why are you on gather,or something like that..and over 50% said they wouldnt be here if not for the points.anyone remember this poll?
so gather,you seriously need to change your position on the points thing..
either that,or soon you'll have to scold everyone on this site and send them to their rooms with no desert..

yes he was but I fin it funny that when I look at other peoples articles who write exactly the same content asking for points and do it daily they don't get flagged. Must be my luck!

William I have over 500 comments to return and I do have a life off of gather I'm a full time student with a courseload so when I said I'll return the comment I meant it takes time besides I have returned as many as I can s far that doesnt mean you wont get the comments

Well now... Okay, it was nice that he admitted and explained. I sort of understand. Yes, the sign up stuff says post anything for points, I'm sure. But I'm just as sure that advertisers are not really interested in advertising on a site where every third post is about getting those points. I know I wouldn't be interested, if I were the advertisers.

However, they - the advertisers - have to be thrilled with good content that gets dozens or hundreds of comments...and therefore generates points for the community.
They'll also be interested in games that generate lots of responses, even though some Gatherers don't like them.

Perhaps because I have seen sites come and go because advertisers became disgruntled, I can see the point of the "higher-ups".
