Well, our haunted house was built (see other article), and by Sunday evening it was ready to scare all those who entered. We put the final touches on the displays and costumes.

We had the lights off, the strobes on, and the candles burning. I've concluded that taking photos with a digital camera in a very dimly lit room is more difficult than I thought, if you want a specific effect.
This is Ms. Heather helping Ms. Autumn into her costume. Not only are they sisters, they both teach at SO-PAC (Steppin' Out - Performing Arts Center).
Haunted houses need a variety of things...including Witches chanting over a bubbling and smoking cauldron.

...And a mad scientist performing experiments....
...and of coarse a fortune teller to give the answers to one's future....

Every haunted house must have a vampire in a coffin. Our vampire had a gaget that sprayed air at the potential victims as the coffin opened.

We also had various people dressed up as different scary creatures - vampires (like me), the Scream guy, zombies, and of coarse a gorilla that jumped out at people.

There was a fog machine going, so the picture looks a little odd. You can see one of the skeletons in a coffin to the right of the gorilla. And yes, those costumes were really hot. Though it was chilly outside, it did get rather hot inside the haunted house...due to all the warm, scared bodies that passed through.
I will leave you with one last photo....I took a lot more, but I don't wish to bore you too much. When I get a chance, I will hopefully post the photos I took of the party.
