The link does work, if not, let me know. They have many good offers going on now!

I know many of my Gather friends are frugal and are watching their pennies. Thought this might help. See if it's available in your area. I've had DSL for about four years now. So far, so good!
Are you tired of having to put up with dial up? Do you think it's the only choice you have? If you have a second phone line and something like AOL, MSN or even AT&T you could be paying DOUBLE or more of what high speed Internet would cost you.
What are my choices? Well, you can get DSL for less. What happens when you get DSL is you will be on what is called a "digital subscriber line." Dial up is analog and uses your phone line.
DSL still goes through your phone line. The big difference is YOU can be on the phone and the Internet at the same time, thus totally eliminating the need for a second line. The signal is converted to digital, so no worries. You can use a fax also.
*****No more busy signals or second line, that's right!
Download music, videos (news), pictures, security software, Windows updates, patches and more at the speed of light. No more waiting an hour or two! Just a few minutes will do!!
WHAT WILL HAPPEN?
The company will mail you a kit or send it UPS with an "external" (outside) black modem in a week or less with everything you need.
You put in the CD in your CD drive on the computer and then plug in the modem when it prompts you to. There are also little plug in filters they provide for you to put on all your phones at home or the office. (wherever the DSL will be).
COST? HOW DO I GET THE DEAL YOU HAVE?
Varies by area, usually less than $20 per month!!
If you are Paying too much for cable or are you on dial-up, Then come with us to the 21st century! Be on the Internet ALL the time (not literally, but it will be there if needed). Speed is out of this world, like from crawling to running.
Click: http://www.attreferrals.com and type in KH9747001 under the middle column asking "Did someone refer you?"
You do NOT have to be an AT&T or BellSouth client to do this. You do NOT need a credit card, they put this on your phone bill.
You can also get satellite TV, cell phone service and phone/long distance for a package deal - - save $$! ALL on one bill!! This is so handy!
Good luck! Here's to a speedier Internet & life. (There, there's my ad copy and a good deal for US folks!)

Anyway, very well-written Kim. I would have given you a 10 if you were accepting ratings.
Install a satellite dish. Faster than DSL or anything else and more reliable. I went to the dish a couple years ago and have never looked back. The only thing that slows my computer down is the transmission speed of the web site I am connected to. Sometimes I would swear Gather is using a 300 baud modem.
The dish is more direct and don't go through a bunch of servers before getting to it's destination. My dial up went through nearly a dozen servers to get there and each of those servers a potential problem.
I hope some of you can use this link, though. I've had many go from expensive cable to DSL and like it just as much!
