I saw my house's ghost again just a bit ago.

She must have been trick or treating

Dee, our house had a ghost when we moved in. I never actually saw her but felt her. At times our dogs would both stop and look the same direction and then I could feel a wisp of movement. It kind of made me feel taken care of to have her in the house when I spent so many hours in my recliner attached to machines.

Once I started getting out more she wasn't around as much. I was almost afraid I had offended her. Then I talked to a dear friend who I trusted and she told me I really should encourage her to go. That she would stay as long as I desired but it was holding her to this earth. I felt guilty.

One afternoon when she showed herself I talked to her and told her it was okay to move on. I never felt her after that. It was really hard.

So, I can truly understand your feelings tonight. I still miss my ghost but hope she is happy where she has gone.

you have one too? my wife swears we have one here. an old lady. I've never seen her.

My grandaughter saw her first, and I thought she was just teasing me but then not long after that I got my first glimpse of her. Since then I've seen her on a fairly frequent basis. One of my friends was here a while back and saw her. It frightened her so much she won't even come into my house under any circumstances LOL.

Our daughter was terrified of being in our house alone.

She went to a party and forgot to tell you - lol :)

Perhaps she was playing hide n seek and forgot to tell you that you were IT and just now realized you weren't going to find her, so she came out from her hiding spot

Seems my friend staying here thinks I have one. I do know the dogs bark a lot for no reason at times.

LOL! People laugh at me until they happen to be here when she decides to make an appearance. Then they freak out and won't come back. I don't know why, because as I said, she never causes any problems. It can be a bit unnerving, I guess, to see the dogs obviously playing with someone when you can't really see anyone, and then just get a glimpse of movement where there is nothing that moves. As I said though, she's quite well-behaved.

You're lucky you have a well behaved ghost. When we had one it was not so nice.

Done, Susan! Heather, this little girl is quite well-behaved.....perhaps because A) we're not afraid of her and B) because we've often told her how pretty she is, and she really is. She does get the dogs a bit wound out occasionally, but all I have to do is say, "All right, that's enough" and everyone settles down.

What's REALLY fun is when someone will be here and she'll be playing with the dogs but we can't see her. Invariably, after they ask why it looks as though the dogs are playing with someone when there is no one there she will show up for 10-15 seconds, just long enough to make their jaw drop LOL. She has never spoken, though.

Dee ~ How do the dogs act when she's there? You mentioned she likes to play with them, I just wondered how that must appear? At least you don't have to worry about sending her to college : ). (I hope that's taken in the light hearted gest it was intended.)

LMBO! Kiernan, I've had the same thought! Not only that, she doesn't eat, require the latest kids fashions, OR talk back!

The pups will sit and appear to be listening to someone talk, and then will appear to try to jump up against someone's leg.....they're all small dogs LOL. They really appear puzzled by the fact that they end up with their feet on the floor. Then they will act as though they're chasing someone, and then plop down on their backs for "tummies" and act exactly as they do when someone is actually rubbing their tummies. They'll actually lay there ad go to sleep, something they don't normally do.

It's a little unnerving to get used to presences. It used to bother me at first...but eventually it was like settling into a warm bath. It was no big deal.

Iwas CONVINCED that she was seeing something not visible to me. My readings lead me to the principle that these are not necessarily manifestations of the dead. The living can experience O.BE,s Out of Body Experiences/ Phantasms of the living [usually linked with crises such as near death experiences. George Nugent Merle Tyrrell in 1942 delivered a lecture to the Society for Psychical Research. The lecture was edited and produced as a book entitled Apparitions [The classic study of Extra-Sensory Perception[ESP] in relation to ghostly appearances. It is a gem, you could check Amazon to find if it is still in print[Collier Books/New York...In his theory Tyrell seems to posit that if we remove the physical conetituents of man without disturbing the sense-data by which we perceive him we should be left with an appartion mmmm..idea from turn of the last century mmm what are the realities in our current messaging? Another book on my desk is 'Near Death Experience: A Holographic Explanation by Oswald G. Harding Ph.D Published in 2005 [ available. I am so glad that you have a friendly ghost, although I am not sure that I could handle any type of ghost!
