Thanksgiving Craft

I read in one of my craft magazines, scrapbooking magazines, or online somewhere about a really cool craft for Thanksgiving. I wish I could remember where it was, but I basically remember the idea behind it.

Things you need:

• Paper
• Pen/Pencil
• Jar/Basket
• Blank journal or craft board journal that you can decorate yourself
• Thanksgiving Journal

Before dinner is served, aske each family member and or friends to write down everything they are thankful for in their lives and make sure they put their name on the paper. Have them put their papers in the jar or basket. Be sure to take lots of pictures during Thanksgiving as well.

Once they have left and you can sit back and relax, rewrite all those things they are thankful for in the journal that you decorate. Make sure you add their name to the outside of the book. You could decorate it for Christmas and give it as a gift for Christmas, or save for the next Thanksgiving and use as placecard settings so they know where to sit. Be sure to put copies of those pictures you took in the books for them to remember the day with.

Your friends and family will love getting a gift like this. This is and idea that can be done year after year, and if you leave some blank pages in the book, they can add to it through the year.

Or you can put what everyone is thankful for in all the books with their names on the prospective pages so everyone knows what everyone else is thankful for as well.

This is a great way to remember friends and family after they have moved away or are no longer with us.
