It is November 1,2007 and I am now officially 81 years old. Yes, it
is my birthday and so I thought I would beat everyone to it and say
Happy Birthday to me, as I feel it has been a wonderful year here on
Gather where I have made so many new friends. You have all listened
to my woes, expressed your friendship towards me, said goodnight
and good morning to me, laughed with me when I have been silly,
given me encouragement in my writing, and you all know how I appreciate
that, and I have tried to comment back, and sometimes get behind
but none of you seem to mind, and I love you all for that. My son Mark
took this new picture of me that I am putting with this Birthday piece, it
is me about 10 months later, as my icon was taken on New Years Eve,
last year outside. Perhaps better lighting, but I thought I should let you
see what a year has done to or for me, I don't know which it is myself.
Thank you all again for being there for me this past year, probably one
of the hardest of my life, but you have helped me in a way I can
never express, just know I appreciate every one of you, my friends at
Gather.
