Daily Whine and Shine - October 31, 2007

My cell phone will be turned off shortly and I have no hope of income. In addition to that there are even more pressing needs to deal with coming up. Ugh. Wish money would come my way, or at least some WORK!

LOL, are you reading my mind? The freakiest thing happened this morning on my article. The Title and article was Missing. I'm so glad it let me fix it. My computer glitch I think. It was scary this Halloween day.

Guess I am complaining about the # of emails I receive in Gather, and then people get mad when I send a few!! I am venting. Most of my gather connections are quite nice. The ones that aren't end up dis connected!

I woke up and looked at the clock. 7:15. I wish I could discover what always wakens me around 7 a.m. It doesn't matter if I've been up until 3 a.m., I'll wake around 7. I have purposely wakened at 6:30 and waited and listened to see if there's some neighborhood noise that wakens me. Nope. Just my strange body clock, I guess.

Woke with one nostril completely clogged and the other almost so. Grrr. Rolled over and went back to sleep, breating through my mouth. Woke again at 8:30 with my back just screaming with pain. All over pain. Burning pain. The thought of trying to get out of bed...well, I could only imagine the pain that would bring. So I didn't. Get out of bed, I mean.

I finally did get up at 10:30. The dog and I both needed pit stops.

I hate it when my day starts so late. I feel like I'm always trying to catch up to the real world.

Yeah, Kim. There are some who send out emails every time they post a new something.

Lydia, I'm sorry things are so tough. I understand, though. I'm at that place where I need to see doctors but we cannot afford even the 20% we pay. Collection agencies calling about various doctor and lab and hospital bills.

well, i don't have anything to whine about, but i am happy cause i lost two more pounds this week.

I hear you Marilyn. We spend $7000+/year for medical coverage but can't afford to actually see the doctor. I need to see the OB/GYN (haven't gone for two years...) and a shrink, but each of those will be a $40 co-pay and I never seem to have it. If I do, it goes into the gas tank.

I'm trying to talk my husband into giving up keeping a car but he's resistant...

Things are ok today still waiting on my neices test results but even that I am hopful about. Scared about it but for right now I need toi latch on to what hope i can about this with her the bad things I can think up are to much for me to even want to think on. I hate thinkinbg of her going through the agravations I had in school just because of a medical problem I was saw as different than everyone else. I do not want that for her and her to feel like a out cast over it as I did with my medical problems. I hope by buring my worry about this I am doing the right thing for her. Maybe you all can tell me if I am a nut in my thinking on this.

WHINING AND COMPLAINING: I go to every 6 months for dental checkups. When I was there on May 18th, for my routine cleaning, the dential hygienist gave me my appointment card for the next 6 months appointment for November 21st, 2007 @ 10:00. This past Saturday I received in the mail my reminder for my 6 months checkup which the appointment date stated November 2nd, 2007 @ 9:00. Well, I did not think that much about it at that moment. Last night as I was going through my appointment book, I came across my appointment card stapled to the date of November 21st, 2007 (I always staple to the date page in my appointment book so I will not forget, I do that while standing at the window in the office, just a habit). I called the dentist office at 9:00 this AM to confirm the correct date. As I was explaining to the receiptionist about the two conflicting dates, she was explaining to my the dental hygienist, which was apparently standing there and I over heard her (my hygienist) say "which ever date she wants, she is the one who called and wanted to change the date"!!! I have no idea what she is talking about,--- I have not called to reschedule my appointment, and BTW, I can not go prior six months for another cleaning or my insurance will not pay. I infomed the receiptionist that I wanted the November 21st appointment date. I am devestated, upset, angry, ill, mad and any other words you can think of!!!! Every since this AM, all I can think about is calling back and asking to speak to my dental hygienist and ask her "what in the world is she talking about"?, but at this moment I do not know if I should, the more I think about this, the angrier I get and I do not want to speak with her when I am this angry. I have been going to this dentist for 25 years and this same girl has cleaned my teeth for at least 20 of these years and I do not want to cause a problem. What should I do..... Just forget it or should I say something???? Thanks for allowing me to vent, I think I already feel better!!!!!!!

Plyllis, perhaps someone else called and changed her schedule and they thought it was you? I would think that was the case, 'cause I doubt the hygenist would make up a story. Probably that's what happened...and that person will be surprised when she shows up on Nov. 2 and they don't have a record of her changing appointments.

People make mistakes. I would probably not get too angry.

Angela, I don't think that if your niece's problem is seizures that most folks will know about her malady unless she tells them. The teachers probably have to know just in case. But it's not like she'll be wearing a sign or anything, right? I may be wrong, since I didn't go back and look at your post about this, but I thought that's what you said was her problem - a seizure?

What I meant was in my post yesterday was they are doing all the test for it to see if that is what she has but it worries me that if she has them even at school she will be treated different and shut out of polite society as she knows it now because where I am at if you have any sort of a medical condition you are treated by the out side world as if you are a deisese and they act as if they even get around you they will catch something. I for one do not want her to ever feel rejected from anyone just because of a illnes. It is true we have not found out for sure yet but there is a posability. At times when I think on this I feel I am over reacting to it but when I remember how things was for me as a child in school I see her having to go though the let down from others reactins and it angers me. What I wonder is am I just being to sensitive here or am i doing the right thing in worring about how she will be treated by others if she has this?
