My grown daughter went out last night ot a Halloween party. We heard her come in about bedtime, but she went back out. This morning, my car was gone and I needed it, so I asked her dad to call her, because he's so much more civil about these things than I am. He gets off the phone and telss me that she had gone out on my bike, but had an accident, and came home and got the car.
I proceed to have a cow. Then I notice that it's not the new bike she dropped, but my old 250. I'm better with that, because the bike was torn up when I got it and has no payments. I'm still, however, put out with my daughter for being irresponsible. Then she comes home.
She was carrying a rider when a large dog ran out in front of her on the highway. Now on a motorcycle, if the dog is anything smaller than a German Shepherd, you run it over, because it's a them-or-me kind of situation. This, however, was a "big ol' honkin' dog." So she swerved and took the ditch. Her helmet is damaged, but her head is okay. Her rider is also okay.
I forgive her for taking the car. Mostly I'm just grateful that I still have her to get mad at!

I've got a few more years before I go crazy, I think.
