My husband watched me suffer from serious hive breakouts day in and day out. He could not stand it. Covered from head to toe in red itchy puffy rings, I felt miserable and at a loss. I had no idea what the heck was causing these reactions. Every day they would show up in different places, all sizes, all irritating, and I hated the allergy relief pills.
I had never had allergies before, but after I had tried a food elimination diet of just raw vegetables (minus anything from the nightshade family) for one week, I had another hive breakout when I introduced tomatoes back into my diet. Naturally I thought I was allergic to the nightshade family.
I finally took an allergy test at the hospital. My test results were negative.
The nurse practitioner said, "You know, most of the time we have no idea what really causes the hives," and proceeded to write me a prescription for Zantac and Claritin, and ordered blood tests for liver or kidney disease.
I did not buy the prescriptions. I looked up the side effects of these drugs, and both of them said DO NOT TAKE if you have liver or kidney disease. My test results for liver and kidney disease were negative. I had no idea what was wrong with me.
My husband called Charlie Leonard to get his non-medical advice.
Charlie said, "I think you are on to something with the tomatoes, but usually when an adult develops a food allergy, it is because their liver is gunked up."
Charlie also explained to me that tomatoes and peppers are acidic, and it is possible that my system needs to get more alkaline. He proceeded to give me advice on another one-week diet to both flush out my liver and to bring a more balanced pH to my digestive tract.
"After following this for one week, try one tomato and call me," advised Charlie.
I have never had a hive since. In fact I am no longer a coffee drinker, I eat more raw foods than ever before, I lost weight, and I feel amazing.
Oh, and the total bill for the allergy and blood tests came to almost $3,000. The grocery bill for my one-week organic diet came to $90.
Absolutely no thanks go to the overweight nurse practitioner with a happy prescription pen.
I owe my total health to Charlie Leonard.
Thank you, Charlie!

Charlie Leonard is my husbands best friend from art school, who decided to study naturopathy. Now he is helping all kinds of family and friends with serious problems.
I know he is working on a website, which is another reason I wrote the testimonial. When I get the website I will post the link. I am sure all of his credentials will be on there.
