A Rainy Fall Day

It is raining here and for many people, that would be a real bummer on a weekend, but we really need it. The farmers in our area have had a destitute time. The waterways are all down from normal levels. A nice rainy day might help to balance everything out a little bit.

What will I do with my rainy day? Well, we went out to breakfast and my wife wanted to stop by the little Amish store that is nearby so we did that and bought a few little things. Now, it is computer time and a movie. Basically, it will be a day for relaxing.

It was rainy all week here, but now the sun's shining. It's still pretty cool outside though. It was downright cold at 4:00 this morning when we responded to a car fire (we suspect arson, unfortunately). Then there was a 9:00 brush fire call that turned out to be fog (we just LOVE those), then doing the weekly equipment check on the fire truck, and now I'm off to Puppy Kindergarten with Daisy. After that, I think I'm taking a nap!

(btw, no I'm not a professional firefighter - small town, volunteer, etc.)

That blessed rain moved thru our area yesterday.We so needed it.Today men are here to help my husband cut wood for the outdoor woodstove.I am rustlin up grub for the guys.Tomorrow more men will be here and we are putting chickens on an outdoor spit with bisquits and baked beans on the side.

I like to watch movies or cook a nice meal...sometimes I do crafts. I never have a shortage of things to do...

Rainy here in Ohio. Flipping through magazines, using the computer, reading a good book or watching a movie are good things to do on a rainy day.

Sitting on the computer commentating to my heart content, listening to the internet radio. I have a real busy morning and lunch. (Taking to of my grandsons to a costumes party and delivering school pictures to two sets of grandparents.) It is also raining here.
