A question about flea's!

The easiest thing to do is to buy the Capstar pills from your vet. 1 pill given to each dog/cat/puppy & kitten in the house & all the fleas will die within 24 hours. Now at the same time, bomb the house & treat your yard if they are in your yard. Then you should have them under control - gone.
This is what we have done in the past & it had worked very well.

Sounds like you are! I only know that they do not like rubbing alcohol. Apply before bed. And do as Priscilla said. One bomb per room, and treat the back and front yards.

Bath the animals in Johnsons baby shampoo mixed with Skin so Soft. For some reason that works. Plus it seems to soothe their poor skin.

Sorry I can't help with the carpet problem...

Try sprinkling salt on your carpets and let that sit for a few days. Then vacuum the salt and fleas out of your carpet. Treat again as needed.

I have an infestion of fleas in my house before. My mom has always used liquid Eucalyptus oil. You should be able to get some at the local pharmacy. Call and ask them if they have any. You may have to call a few pharmacies. If they don't have if ask if they can order it some for you.

Just put some of the oil on cotton balls or tore up pieces of an old shirt around the house. Place them under the edges or behind couches, beds, etc. Make sure the animals or kids can't get to them. It will help drive them out of the house and off the pets. It works I have used this before.

It also read that you can put some in the pet shampoo and it will help to.

Buy sulfur candles at the hardware store. You sound like an invasion of fleas. Then burn them in the basement. Leave the house, prepare to not enter for at least 8 hours. Just bathing all your dogs will not help they are in the house,

Be careful about setting off too many bombs in the house. One woman bombed every room in her house at once and ended up blowing up her house! Revolution drops on the pets work great but a dose for one month costs about $12 per pet, which is quite expensive. The insect growth regulator spray that kills fleas and keeps the eggs from hatching for 4 months is good for spraying furniture and carpets as well as pets. It takes lots of it to do the job though and usually multiple sprayings. It works best on short-haired pets. Try some bug repellant wipes on the kids on legs, arms, or wherever the fleas are biting. Wash bedding at the laundromat in super hot water and dry in super hot dryer. The Capstar pills are $22 for 6 pills that are taken daily--for a dog 2 to 25 pounds. I think they are $24 for a dog over 25 pounds. They only last 24 hours compared to a month for the Revolution drops. Once all the fleas are dead though, you won't get more if you keep Revolution monthly drops on any pets that go outside and can bring in fleas to the other pets. For example, we put the drops on the dog in warm weather and that keeps him from giving fleas to our 10 indoor cats. At times though, kids can bring fleas in on their socks or clothes if there are fleas in the yard.
