In the Eyes of A Child

I took these pictures last evening at the wedding reception of Geoffrey, our next door neighbor's son and Will's best childhood friend. These are the children of Geoff's sister Jennifer. Knowing them from birth, I was before the wedding intrigued as to how they would handle the situation. They truly did fine and enjoyed with wonder all before their eyes. Our neighbors are truly blessed to have such grandchildren.
The accompanying words you chose were perfect for these pictures. I smiled a lot through this.

You know it's really weird Ina when I'm taking pictures....I'm thinking one thing as I take them and then when I download them I find myself thinking other things. Was sub-consciously I really thinking these second thoughts as I clicked?

Thanks Kathryn for stopping by. I have a ton of pictures from the wedding but still mulling around what I'm going to do with the images. I'm pretty sure the way I'm going to go with the oeuvres...but as for the rest? It would be a pity to just use them in a "sing-song this is a wedding I went to kind of photo-essay".

Oh, I enjoyed these photographs. The different expressions were fun to see. Especially the little boy's hands across the chest. That's classic. I loved it. And while I am here just let me say........

Guyana, lynne for dropping by. Although I only took 4 pictures of Reagan and Robert James I too couldn't believe the expressions I was just fortunate to capture. Reagan is quite regal but RJ's stance reminds me of photographs of young men in the 1880's.

It was a wedding, Elsie. I, too love children at weddings, such a rare treat these days when the cost of wedding place settings are so expensive, children are no longer invited. How are children to be mentored in the rituals of our society if they are no longer included in the celebrations?
