Yahoo and Gather

I have not been getting any notices. I asked the guides and they were helpful and told me to change my email address on Gather and I would get the notices! Well I wanted to keep it in yahoo because then I get a notice when I receive mail when I'm on yahoo messenger. So now today something weird is happening! I'm getting Gather mail in my yahoo inbox! So is anyone else having these problems?

I did add Gather to my filters and told yahoo to send all my Gather mail to my inbox, but I had been getting the messages just fine until a few days ago, so I don't know if that is what fixed the problem or not?

Can't say I've had any problems, check your yahoo email preferences because it can check outside mail. Hope they straighten this out for you.

I've noticed several other people posting the same problem. I dont' have gather going to my yahoo mail, but have gotten several mailer daemon notices for returned mail on articles that I was trying to email to friends and family who have yahoo.

I think Yahoo may have updated their mail filters or something. I had a problem this morning with my Hits4Pay emails getting bounced from my Yahoo mail address. This was a new thing too.

I have changed my gather notifications to not get notifications when I get gather email, it would fill my inbox and i would prefer to keep them separate.

I had the same problem. This happened last time gather had an upgrade. I got a hotmail address last night and will use it just for gather. They are coming in just fine on hotmail.

I'm glad you posted this because it caused me to go check my Yahoo account. I thought I had less email then usual. I now have the "My Yahoo" upgrade. The "bulk" folder is gone. There is a spam folder. Guess what I found in there? Gather notices as well as other email that I am subscribed to. Are you using the Yahoo upgrade email? If so check that spam folder. Again, thank you. I don't know how long it would have taken me to realize there was a problem if not for this article.

I don't really pay attention to my mail, but I noticed that Randee was complaining about the same problems. I hope you work it out, though!

I haven't been getting all my emails from Gather either. I might get two or three when there has been maybe two hundred articles, pictures, and videos posted. I don't know what the problem is.

I haven't had any problems, but I'm not using Yahoo! mail, either. Hope it gets sorted out. :-)

I think it's Yahoo. I have a lot of problems with mail through yahoo.

I've gone back to having problems again. I'm getting the orange juice email, but not my notifications.

I dont like Yahoo, I had a lot of trouble, getting into my account. Everytime I would turn around I had to put in my password over and over again. I dont use it anymore.

Yahoo's making a lot of changes... but one thing has always been the same, and that is that any changes you make have a significant time lag. I moderate groups on Yahoo, and we tell people that when they unsubscribe or switch to "no email" it may take up to a week before the emails stop coming.

You might have to add Gather to your address list. Like another comment, my Gather emails were going into my bulk folder, which I normally don't look at, just delete. You might want to check your email on your Gather homepage. I had to recheck mine several times 'til it came out the way I wanted it. Hope this helps.LOL
