angels by words per line 01 & 02 of 09
Gulp
You
are
an
angel
she
said
and
smiled.
That
means
I'm
dead
I
thought
and
gulped.
Aussie Drover
Nutcase in
white gown
walked along
bush track
to where
I sat
all alone
under tree
having ciggy
while minding
flock of
dumb sheep
in glade
beside creek
to me
said he
was an
angel sent
by Heaven
to proclaim
huge glad
tidings of
great joy
to all
whereupon I
dryly declared
strewth mate
stone the
flamin' crows
fair crack
of the
bloody whip
do me
a big
favour and
don't be
a wanker
either have
a fag
or damned
well bugger
off and
just move
your fat
arse to
to annoy
some other
poor bastard
on this
Christmas Eve
(The sequencing of this series of angel poems is according to words per line - resulting in a surprising potpourri that would otherwise most certainly not have occurred.)

Magi, I might need some help with the Aussie Drover..whatever is that?
Your words, humor and wickedness are what keep me sane, I think.. :)
A poem/ tale/ tail that wags and zigzags dizzily.....and a Magi that speaks in so many languages in one poem! I am nonplussed..speechless..though I am blabbering on...
LOVE THIS!
Instead, to my surprise, are two rather wonderful humorous poems, written in a form that brought smile a smile to my face this morn. In Gulp, the form actually appears as the human mouth taking a "gulp"!
But it is the second poem that made me chuckle out loud. I can just imagine the Drover as he sat having his ciggy and his thoughts when Malach Adonai stopped by!!!!
It is a lovely surprise to have these featured - a great way to share smiles.
Gulp was like a good joke with a splendid punch line.
Your poetic work is always so innovative; here in Aussie Drover you pit the loony high church ravings of a strayed ¨hospital mystic¨ against the scabrous matter of fact scoffing of a speaker only concerned with the here and now.
I did that line formatting for the sheer fun of it.
I always knew that angels were nice people...but I don't think that the second one will come back soon to visit you again. Hmm how could he/she respond t "stone the flaming crows?" The mind boggles.
I also like the way you are always changing the colors ! it islike changing the mood according to what you have to say next and your mood is always in balance with the whole Universe. This is what I feel from the beautiful colors blending so majestically! there is no trace of darkness in them, just LIGHT!
love and hugs my dear friend
I bow to you.
