As I read this question and answer in the Orlando Sentinel. I started thinking....I do use a fanny pack when I visit the Central Florida theme parks. I used one in Las Vegas.

I really do not care if I am in or out of style.
Finding fanny packs for sale is not an easy thing to do, I did find two at the CP outlet, so I purchased both.
Do you use a fanny pack on vacation?
I do - because like the article said it frees up my hands, espically good when shopping.

Answer: When it comes to nerdy and touristy, fanny packs are right up there with souvenir T-shirts and socks with sandals. But do the tourists care? Not that I've noticed. They're out there wearing what pleases them and having a good time.
Fanny packs may not be stylish, but as you have discovered, they certainly are handy. Once you belt one on, all your essentials are close at hand -- but your hands are free for more important vacation activities such as taking pictures, shopping, eating, drinking, holding hands with your sweetie -- and thumbing your nose at the fashion police.
