I posted a ton of photos today from our Sioux Falls trip a few years ago. I wanted to give a little explaination, so I'm going to bring a few of the photos into this article.
We had lived in Sioux City for about 5 years when a co-worker of mine mentioned her and a friend were going to walk around Falls park in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She even showed me a few pictures she'd taken on one of their many trips. I was enthralled. I love being outside, I love nature. So she mapped out for me how to get their - which is a piece of cake, and off Rick and I went!
The first thing we did is walk up this pathway. I could see the water, but really I wasn't impressed. I thought that maybe the hour's drive I'd just done was all just to eat at Olive Garden and then go home. And then, I saw this...

I was blown away! It had rained quite a lot before we'd gone up, and the falls were just massive! It was so awesome! I walked along some rocks to get the best shots that I could. I was a little scared I'd fall in, but I didn't, and I'm really happy with the pictures I took!

I loved the color of the rock and the way the water just was gushing down from a far!

This is my boyfriend! Rick and I saw this statue as we were walking up to a tower you can go up and see the whole park from. I just fell in love with the guy. I thought it was awesome! Then Rick convinced me to go to the top of the tower. I'm not good with heights or elevators. I will say that the view was amazing... but we walked down the stairs because I didn't want to go back in the elevator again! Here's one shot from the top, I have others in my pictures that I posted today!

From what I gathered, the white house thing was a mill, and back behind that there was a bunch of structures that were fenced in so we could never get to them.
I hope you enjoyed my first attempt at a photo essay. Thanks for taking time out for my article!
