Faces of the Fallen

There was a fantastic exhibit at the Womens Veterans Memorial called the Faces of the Fallen. It was especially moving. The exhibit is down now. But here is a link if you would like to see it on line.

Portraits
1,319 portraits of fallen heroes.

The exhibit included those who died in Afghanistan and Iraq from October 10, 2001 to November 11, 2004.

300 of the portraits are on display at the pentagon, because next-of-kin could not be contacted to deliver their portraits when the exhibit closed.

Sad, touching, haunting, thought provoking, Anger over their deaths. That site caused so many emotions. Thank you for sharing Barbara. Even if those images will stick with me for a very long time.
