Well, we are quickly moving along in our fourth pregnancy. Here we are with the 7th installment of “Expecting Dad”. It’s really starting to get exciting now. It’s always been exciting, but now it’s all becoming very real, very quickly.
We went to Greenville on Friday for another appointment with our midwife, Jan. I don’t recall if I’ve ever said this, but Jan is an awesome obstetrics provider. Jennifer and I have both been very happy with her. She is very down-to-earth, very approachable, and very likeable. We wouldn’t trade her for the world. She says that everything continues to go very well with the pregnancy. The only real difficulty we’ve had with this pregnancy was the actual conceiving. A lot of help in prayers, and a little help from Clomid, and we conceived with no problem. It’s been pretty smooth sailing since.
Kaylin continues to make her momma more uncomfortable every day. As one would expect, the kicks and squirms inside momma’s tummy are getting more powerful everyday. Feels like this little girl will be another firecracker just like her siblings. Wouldn’t want to shake the balance of the family I guess. Haha.
Our trip to Greenville this time was just a bit different than most. We went to the hospital, Pitt County Memorial Hospital. We got to take a full tour of the Women’s Center, to include the birthing center, a view of the nursery, and the recovery rooms. Overall, it looks as though the experience will be a great one. The rooms aren’t the biggest rooms we’ve seen in a birthing center, but they are adequate. We are more concerned with the level of care than the room size anyhow. One really nice plus is that the hospital offers complimentary wireless internet access to patients and their families. So, once I get Jennifer settled into her recovery room and Kaylin is tucked away nicely in the nursery, I’ll be able to hop on the laptop and begin emailing photos to family and of course posting some photos here on Gather for y’all to see.
Well, I guess that’s about the extent of things for now. I’ll be sure to keep you posted. We are getting so excited!!!
