Ok so they call the child support office the 'friend of the court' here in michigan. Well they are definetly not my friend! Seems like they are doing nothing to assist in the collecting of child support. My ex husband and ex boyfriend both keep getting away with not paying support and yet still nothing gets done. I have filed motion after motion and made tons of complaints and still NOTHING. Seems like someone would eventually get off their butts and get enforcing something! Ex husband has NO REASON not to pay. He is working full time in Florida. Ex boyfriend .. well I have no idea if he has a job or not but his child support is a joke. It was set at $50 a MONTH. Pathetic right? He has not paid one cent since the day my son was born AND he has done NOTHING for my son either. Makes me sick.
Makes me think the 'friend of the court' is the friend to the dead beat dads. Like it is there protecting them and not the kids!

Or, I know that here in California we have legal aid set up so that you can get help in pursuing support. They should be able to attach your husband's wages with an order signed by a judge. It only costs $15 to file here in California (all attorneys fees can be attached and reimbursed as well). Maybe try looking online or try going to Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement

I have known countless women who have tried to collect (here in Michigan) to no avail. My own sister tried for over 18 years to get money out of her ex and the F.O.C. did nothing. She still hasn't gotten any money. My nephew is turning 25 next week.
