You know your addicted to gather when...   I realized I was addicted around 4am this morning when I woke up from a dream about Gather.  In the dream I had uploaded the wrong photo AND I had forgotten to complete the gather guides search contest.  I sat up in bed and was about to go turn the computer back on when I finally was awake enough to realize it was just a dream.  Is there a gathers anonymous?

Now I am. I know why I was avoiding this site before, I knew how much time I would spend on it. Everytime I see something I want to snap a picture of it so I can put it on gather, lol. Oh well. At least I am getting something for all the time I spend on here, unlike myspace.

Addicted? Addicted? who said I was addicted? Im not addicted, i swear im not, I just live eat breath gather but Im not addicted!!!! Don't tell my psychiatrist that I posted on here he told me to leave gather and never come back or I would be locked up for life!
He said Gather is very bad for me makes me do things I shouldn't do!!
I keep telling him Im not addicted Im truly not! I only get on a few times a day from my computer! My husband allows me 4 times a day at 20 minutes a visit!!! Ha Ha what he doesn't know can't hurt me!!!!!

Yes Gather is my crack.. It is the ying to my yang. The cookie on my black and white cookie.. I was just told today that I am to inherit more responsibilities at work..

GREAT, that means that it will interfere with my GATHER time. I am truly not happy about this! I might have to go on strike. (Oh crap, I am not a unionized employee.)

Hello, my name is Kathy and I'm addicted to Gather. It's been 3 hours since my last visit, not sure if it counts though because I dreamed about Gather while taking a nap. I first recognized my addiction on sept 27, 2007, one day after my first publication when I started thinking in terms of...this would be cool to show or talk about on Gather. As the hours turned into days and the days into weeks I realized that my addiction could be controlled if I just had the will power to not turn on the computer, but who of us could get through the day without that lite screen in front of us? My addiction has leveled out, there are no more all night benders where I'm drinking coffee to stay awake...now I just get up really early.

I've had to seriously cut back on Gather - I was so addicted I wasn't getting any sleep - I am NOT making this up - plus my neck & back and legs & bum would just go numb - so I have been off of gather for a few days. I use to feel guilty for not posting on all my friend articles - but then I realized they weren't commenting on mine either so - we are even - you know - no harm no foul!! (hee-hee) But I do miss it when I'm not on it - and I find myself thinking sometimes when having a converstion - WOW this would be a great article on Gather - then I get home & I forget what it was - DANG IT!!! It is addicting because of the friendships I think!! It's like you miss your friends - so you have to check in!!! :O)~
Exactly Barb, I've been a member for a month, in that time I've got to know a lot of people, I read what they submit, look at their pictures..and then I read and look at their connections stuff..before long I've found new people to connect with. It's not just what people write but who writes it. It all becomes a part of you and you want to keep up with their newest thoughts and pictures.

Oh my! lol You are addicted! :P I was pretty hooked in the beginning, but I'm really fickle when it comes to websites... I go to one, and spend ALL my time there for several months, but then I find something else I love, and my attention switches to that site. For me, right now, it's StumbleUpon... which is weird, 'cause usually the sites I get addicted to are sites that compensate me for my participation in some way. StumbleUpon is just plain fun!
