Good "Morning Glory" how are you?
I see you bathe in the morning dew;
Your day's work is eagerly begun
For you to rise with the morning sun.
Hello "Daisy," loveable flower,
You die in a Sweetheart's bower,
For on your petals lovers plot,
She loves me - She loves me not.
Fair "Daffodil," I'm glad to see
You too adorn the scenery;
Please do not hastily fade away
But let your beauty with us stay.
Generous "Rose" you are most fair,
In many colors, your scent fills the air;
To Poets, Artists, you bring fame,
And success because of your name.
Beautiful "Lily," flower so rare,
With your beauty none compare
In white spendor, at Easter time,
Symbolic flower, of Heaven, sublime!
As taken from the pamphlet "Leaves from my book of Poems" by Gene Remignanti who larger book is called Ink Echoes.
