Those of you interested in a fast writing prompt, and useful excercise or two see the passage below.

"Give me the gun," she said calmly. "Please do this quietly and nobody will have to get hurt. Do you understand what I am saying to you?"
The man with the gun looked right and left, his face a painting of sheer desperation. "No!" he suddenly burst out. "I cannot! If I do not take the money from here, then my daughter will never be able to attend school!"

1. You may begin a short story based off of this. Credit goes to Ylanne Sorrows for the beginning.
2. Develop the two characters. Who is the female, and who is the male? Are they even human? What is their past? How did they get here? Where is here anyways? What is going on besides the obvious?
3. What possible results could happen in a situation like this? Write about one of them in 500 words or less.
4. Imagine you are a news reporter and this event has just happened today. What else happened? Who was there? (who what when where why and how) Write a news article about this.
