Babylon 5 : The Lost Tales - They should have stayed lost.

First , I am a really big Babylon 5 fan.  I love their incredible sf epic, terriffic unforgettable characters, well-plotted scripts, and some excellent effects.

So when I heard they had made some more episodes and strung them together for a direct to DVD movie, I was elated. I got the show and sat down for a great time.

But great time it wasn't.  The soaring music was gone. The set were worse then High School plays.  Only two of the orginal characters were back. President Sheridan and Commander Lockely.  Also Galen from the Crusades(cut too soon like the Firefly.) was there, too. 

The skits were really one note ideas and usually with only two people in them. 

The DVD had lots of interviews, some tributes to some of decease cast. (G"kar and Stephen) bunch of triva.  

If you love Babylon 5, skip this DVD and read the trilogy of Legion of Fire by Peter David.

Yep. I wish I had read a review before I bought them. They weren't absolutely awful, but after the series they were a major disappointment.

Chick: I have never watched the Babylon series, although I have heard of it. I will take your word for it.

im not a fan,nothing beats the old star trek,most of the spawns are dissappointing

Never saw it. I'm not much into TV or movies unless Mr. Ed is on.

I love sci-fi but never got into this series.
I am however sorry you were disappointed.
Now you know why it went straight to dvd.

I'm really sorry to hear that. They had such a good show, what I saw of it.

That how I watch it. (Netflix.) But they did use the original writer J. Michael Straczynski, so I did have great hope for a good show.
