I'm flooding out the stale emotions
Yes every drop must be drained from me
And leave this vessel with a promise
That such emptiness fills up a need
For my sail seeks a new horizon
Where the roiling waves won't break me down
And be like putty that is fashioned
To hear a piper play peaceful sound
I'll be discarding all my treasures
I brazenly guarded yet as time
Eroded holes in my confidence
And nothing could glitter in my mind
I heard words that had been vacated
Within the echoes so icy cold
Of a heart that forgot life's purpose
Is within the sunshine good friends sew
I see the doors that need unlocking
There is some fear of the other side
But in this prison of my making
Hope has no passion from blinded eye
A vista wide as any ocean
Is the gentle heart of love and peace
Forgiveness is sincere devotion
That brings forth warmth a brave man seeks

Forgiveness is something we all must learn to do.
your lifetime yet, as you get older, you will meet new challanges and new roles to
be played and in my mind you will do them all well, you are a free spirited man and
if you are in a prison you have the key to unlock the doors, set yourself Free William,
throw away whatever is bothering you, and run with life, it is a great trip.
I see the new tomorrow I would like to be a part of but taking the steps are almost too difficult.
I told you from the beginning a poet I am not. Writer either. Somedays there are things I want to share, But the mood has to be right.
..fun with intelligence and garnished with wonderful words makes a piece stunning and you are very good in doing that.

These 2 lines really get to me. Really good poem, William. You know, I am getting to the point I look forward to your poems and articles every morning, almost like they make the day go better. You always have some profound insight. And Elsie's talking about you being so young again.
Thanks once more for this wonderful poem,,,
