Those few golden moments right before the sun sets are my favorite.
I took off to the top of the hill in Baraka's pasture to try to catch the play of light across him and the fall colors.

I like this shot - the way his whiskers glow, and how his left ear is turned like he's listening to the sun setting.

That's my brother in the background, he's the official horse chaser when I need action shots, LOL. Baraka is running out of the shadows - I didn't lighten this shot because one of the things I like most about it is his mane. It's dirty and not combed out, but that gives it more depth.

Barely any actual light on him in this shot - but the glow from the out of focus weed in the foreground makes me happy ;-)

This shot is not altered, the limited light is just dancing off the hairs forming a great silhouette in the suns last moments. So much for my evening journey.

aahhhhhh..... morning light isn't bad either! Taken about 10am this morning, he was watching me shoot pics of the horses at the bottem of the hill and wishing he wasn't being left out. :-)
