So my sister has given me a challenge to write 100 things I love about my husband. She recently did this with her new husband and I've decided the odds are stacked against me. I've been married for over 5 years now and I think by this point I could easily name the things I hate quite a bit easier than naming the things I love, she's only been married a few weeks, she still loves everything about her hubby. J We all know how marriage works…..it's all downhill from "I do". No, seriously, my man is the best, so here I go…. (these aren't in any kind of order!)
1. Bailey-Gates makes me laugh all the time!
2. He is never predictable….I'd get SO bored if he was.
3. He pushes me to be physically fit. As much as I HATE to exercise, he is so physically fit I don't want to be the fat woman with the spectacularly muscular husband.
4. Speaking of spectacularly muscular, I LOVE his muscles!
5. I love how hard he is to get really mad. I'm a yeller when we fight, but it takes a lot to get him yelling back, so normally he can calm me before we reach the screaming match point.
6. I love that he lets me call him ridiculous names in front of people, like Bailey-Gates and Pampa Bear.
7. He has a strong work ethic.
8. He is smarter than me….even though I'll NEVER admit that out loud.
9. He is a soldier….and I think a man in uniform is HOTT!!!!
10. He cooks and actually likes it…I don't! Someone needs to so we can actually eat, at least one of us enjoys it.
11. He compliments my big booty and large thighs.
12. He makes fun of me…not that that is a hard thing, but too often people feel too intimidated by me to actually make fun of the stupid stuff I do.
13. He treats me as an equal.
14. He lets me take charge, but puts me in my place when I've gotten too bossy. He's one of the few people in my life that doesn't let me overrun them!
15. He never comments when I haven't cleaned our house.
16. He doesn't freakishly watch sports on TV….I'd freak out if the game was more important than me.
17. He shaves his head nearly bald because he knows that I think it's sexy even though he hates it.
18. He lets me pick his back…gross, I know, but I love it.
19. He sings, and sings loudly, even when I tell him to shut up.
20. He respects me and demands respect from me.
21. He trusts me explicitly and never questions my actions.
22. He asks me silly questions just to see how much I've changed over the years.
23. He is the best father.
24. He lets me spoil myself if I want to.
25. He lies in bed and tells me the things he loves about my body.
26. He takes showers with me.
27. He'll squeeze into the tub with me even though he hates baths and our tub is too small.
28. He is cocky, although he says, "I'm not cocky. I'm as good as I say I am."
29. He's a tough guy, "Drink water, Hooah!"
30. He is a leader, not a follower.
31. I can fart on him.
32. He talks to EVERYONE. I can't take him anywhere without adding at least 30 minutes of talk time.
33. He will fight for me….literally.
34. He likes to snuggle.
35. He has beautiful eye lashes that he has passed on to all of our children!
36. He is the least selfish person I've ever met. He recently gave away our son's bed and tried to give away our TVs since we can't take them to Germany; although we aren't leaving for 7 months and we pay a ridiculous amount of money for cable and TIVO!!!!
37. He has a uni-brow that is SOOO frickin funny!
38. He stays up late just to spend a little extra time with me.
39. He has GREAT legs!!!!
40. He asks before he spends money.
41. We watch funny shows together and then quote them all the time.
42. He will wrestle me, he never wins, but he sure tries. J
43. He makes really gorgeous babies with me.
44. He refuses to let me argue with him in front of our children.
45. He sticks up for me in front of other people. Regardless if I'm right or not, he's always on my side.
46. He changes his accent depending on who he is talking to.
47. He is SOOO annoying sometimes.
48. He is totally oblivious when women hit on him.
49. He is younger than me, so I can call him a baby.
50. He tries to teach our 4 yr old children things way beyond their comprehension levels, like CPR and how to control bleeding.
51. He can lift his eyebrows separately.
52. He complains about being fat because he doesn't fit into the itty-bitty, teeny-weeny clothes that he wore in high school. (He was 6'1'' and a buck 40!)
53. He does really great impressions.
54. He leaves ridiculous voice mail messages claiming to be random people…like "Bill. Bill Clinton."
55. He makes really unattractive sex jokes.
56. He is unknowingly, super sexy!
57. He gropes me while he's sleeping.
58. He never turns down sex.
59. He is obsessed with Bugs Bunny and Coca-Cola paraphernalia…seriously, he's a grown man for goodness sakes.
60. He sleeps with his mouth open so I can take REALLY funny pics of him!
61. He speaks in accents…sometimes for days on end he'll talk like he's an Italian mobster, an hombre, or a hillbilly.
62. He calls me "Woman" or "Wife", but rarely by my real name.
63. He freak dances up on me in the kitchen when I'm trying to cook or clean.
64. He admits that I'm always right….okay he's says ALMOST always right.
65. His handwriting is TERRIBLE and he spells like a third grader…which makes him almost a DOCTOR!!!
66. He loves shoe fresheners (his feet really do smell horrible), but then he spends money on really expensive ones and leaves them sealed in the package by the side of the bed.
67. He buys things he thinks will be beneficial in the long run and turn out to be a waste of money….like a refillable car freshener for $15, but the closest place to buy the refills is more than 30 miles away! But, "It smells really good when it is filled!" he says.
68. He likes the same stupid movies I like.
69. He refuses to let milk go to waste. He will drink the milk from every cup and bowl so we don't ever pour it down the sink.
70. He drinks half-and-half as a "treat". GAG!
71. He gets Icy Hot on his balls every time he touches the stuff!
72. He throws a fit if his son wears girl's clothes, shoes, or wants to put on make-up, but he lets all his daughters play soldier games with him. They actually chant, "Soldiers never stop!" as they run up the hill by our house.
73. He feeds me romantic foods, like chocolate covered strawberries, fondue, or Godiva chocolate.
74. He will light candles and draw a bath for me when I've had a real bad day.
75. He holds me when I need to cry.
76. He surprises me with my favorite soda or treats when he wants to see me smile really big!
77. He always opens my car door for me. ALWAYS!!!
78. He'll help me zip my oh-too-tight pants, and never makes comments about them being WAY too tight.
79. He says wonderful things about me to all his friends.
80. He praises every little thing I do and shows appreciation for even the smallest acts.
81. He does not allow any other toilet paper but Charmin Ultra in our house because the rest "scratch his bum!" He has a sensitive bum, wee Charles, does.
82. He'll ask where common things are located in the house (like diapers, spoons, or paper towels) even though he has lived in this same house with us for over a year and a half and we use these things on a daily basis.
83. He watches movies he loves over and over and over and over, kinda like a 3 yr old does with that old Sesame Street VHS!
84. He is a great handy man! He fixes everything around our house without having to call repair people!
85. Halloween is his favorite holiday….random…so he goes bonkers planning parties, costumes, trick-or-treating activities, haunted houses, etc.
86. He swims like a freaking fish.
87. Soccer is an obsession to him.
88. He teaches me random things that I will never ever use (like how to treat patients under heavy artillery fire or how what happens during a colonoscopy).
89. He is still fascinated by snow.
90. He looks REALLY sexy on a motorcycle.
91. His lips are NEVER EVER chapped.
92. He loves me more than anyone else in the world and shows me that all the time!
93. He deals with my depression so patiently, even though it means he has to pull some of my load sometimes.
94. He teaches our kids funny sayings, like "Shake and Bake" or "Rally on 1".
95. He works REALLY, REALLY hard to single-handedly financially support our family.
96. He has an amazing testimony.
97. He grows as much facial hair as a 12 yr old boy.
98. He is a huge theater buff.

Phew! 100 and I'm spent!
