Today Senator Chris Dodd and Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter are coming together for a Day of Action to End the War in Iraq. The event will stream live from around 11:30 AM Eastern -- Dodd & Shea-Porter will speak at noon. Following the speeches, volunteers and activists will write letters, place calls, and send online petitions to President Bush calling for him to set a date certain for withdrawing our troops from Iraq.

It was a great event. Well over 120 people were overflowing out of the Dodd Action Center to hear Sen. Dodd and Rep. Shea-Porter speak about ending the war in Iraq now. As I write this, we have a large canvass going on around Manchester, as volunteers are talking to voters here about ending the war in Iraq and how Chris Dodd is leading on that critical fight. Thanks to everyone who came to call and canvass to end the war -- your actions are truly uplifting.
