... on about 300 items... I suppose its a start - but seems to me that many Canadian retailers still have a long way to go.
According to this article, Wal-Mart is saying that they've already been passing on better prices as a result of the parity between the Canadian & US dollar ... for more than a year! Really?! I hadn't noticed! So I s'pose that today's price check should be Wal-Mart.
They specifically mention video games... so ....lets start there, shall we?
Oh darn, look at that ... Halo 3 in the US is $59.92. Same game in Canada? Well, would love to tell you but it seems that the Canadian site has opted for Price Not Listed all over the place today! Interesting... wonder if that's a recurring thing, or just for now that the newspapers are talking about it. Will have to check in the store when I go there later today.
Oh well... will have to use something else for a price comparison I guess.
Can't use big screen TVs as can't find 2 the same on both sites; too bad, as that's something we are actually interested in buying, although not until the pricing issues are dealt with.
So .. next up, how about a digital camera?
The Kodak 12 MP EasyShare Z1275 is available on both sites .... the US price is: $229.54, which, it notes on the site, is lower than the manufacturer's recommended retail price.
Or, I can buy it at my local Canadian Wal-Mart for $265.88. Oh well...who needs a new camera anyway. Well, I do, actually - but I think I shall wait... or order it from the US.

don't know what you're allowed to bring back though ... but you'd think the camera wouldn't necessarily count... whose to say you didn't take it with you? LOL
