Football is my favorite game
I love to watch them play --
Those tightly muscled butts and legs
On an awesome autumn day;
How fluidly and gracefully
They dance across the green --
Such elegant contenders play
The best I've ever seen;
Some people think I'm crazy
The way I love the game --
But I'd rather be watching football
Than anything I can name;
Of course I may be prejudiced
I love my Peyton blue & white-
That AFC South team that rules the League.............
You rock the Big House - BLUE & White!!!

"Lady, I did this last night for you. Since you like Peyton feel free to do with it what you want????" (from my email on Monday night, or rather Tuesday morning, shortly after midnight 12:53a.m.)

Commentary: Lawrence H. is the kind of person who has a big heart, the kind we call in the area where I was raised, "good down home country folk." I don't know why I was surprised when I got an email from him with a poem about Peyton Manning. I had been pestering him through a Monday Night Football game about doing a writeup on Manning -- really BUGGING him about it -- and knew he would do it, because that's just the kind of person Lawrence H. is. But poetry? That was a very pleasant surprise!
Lawrence, or "Sci-Fi Larry" is full of surprises.
During another game he wonderfully kept feeding me with so much factual information about various players in the NFL, and with such detail, written from the perspective of an evaluator, or more precisely a storyteller. I know that kind of writing; I have written that way before myself, and I could reach only one conclusion:
"Are you a reporter?
You certainly write like one.

Yep, I knew it, I knew it! I should have known it before, but I was not "paying attention," as Tom d. of Gather puts it.
Lawrence H. is full of surprises. As I was about to sign off yesterday, I noticed he had just completed his
"my week 7 pics" for the NFL Sunday and Monday football games. I clicked onto them in order to incorporate them into my article, and got a surprise -- Lawrence had spent the day in the ER. I don't think he should have been concerned about writing articles at all, but as I said earlier, that's just the kind of person he is. I know he did it -- in part -- because I was expecting them. Imagine my guilt.
Lawrence, relax, be healthy, enjoy the games and I will keep you in my prayers.
If you would like to stop by and give Lawrence a holler he has plenty of articles and plenty of expertise. I hope he doesn't feel obliged to jump up and start responding to comments though. Lawrence, PLEASE! lol. I know you -- just relax and rest! You are just that kind of guy, but relax.
Blessings to you, and thank you for the poem; it was grrrrrrrrrreat and I am humbled and honoured!

Hey Lawrence
Hey Lady Nalita
See? I told you that you had a huge heart!
Stop trying to hide it, Jeff! You are a good guy!
Don't like that, do you Jeff? :=)
That is one thing you and Lawrence have in common -- good hearts.
