My Husband Maybe Out of the Hospital on Monday!

Well things are looking up!  Ralph maybe out of the hospital on Monday.  They took his Foley cathetor and the dialysis cathetor out today.  All he has left are the cathetors for medication in his arms.  He is not hooked up to anything and can pretty much move around freely.  He is still getting breathing treatments and Physical therapy is working with him to get him steady on his feet again!  Being so sick and in bed for so long he is a bit wobbly but that is improving rapidly.  He is happy to be able to get up and get into the bathroom!  His electrolites are still a bit out of wack, but they are watching that.  He is so much better now and I hope he stays that way!  Two 8 day stays in the hospital in a month is a bit much for anyone to handle!  Hopefully this time he'll stay healthy!!!!!!!!!  Thank you all for your continued prayers and kind comments and well wishes!  They are very appreciated! :-)

Trudy, I've been away from Gather for a bit so I was not aware your husband was in the hospital. I hope his recuperation is speedy and he is home very soon!

That's wonderful news. I hope he is able to come home soon. It's so hard when a loved one is in the hospital.

It is sad when being ill or caregiving takes you out of the mainstream of living.One day you are going to work and the next,you are scheduling around nurses shifts and feeding schedules at the hospital.The hardest schedule to keep up with is the doctor.One has to stay at the hospital all nite to catch them early in the morning.

Glad to hear husband is getting better and you had a chance to get in here and update us.GOD"S speed and HIS blessings!

I just went back and read your three prior articles. I know how nerve wracking it is when a loved one is in the hospital and there's not much you can do to fix things.
