Ever have one of those days where everything goes wrong? I fell like I have been having one of hose YEARS!
It started in May, when we were visiting our daughter in Indiana that the water pump went out on our car. Then in June the city was replacing water mains in the road. They busted a pipe in front of our house and discovered an electrical current running through our water main. That cost us $1100 to an electrician.
Then the plumbing under the kitchen sink sprung a leak. My brother-in-law fixed that. Then my oven died. Before my brother-in-law could fix that, the sink started leaking again. By time he was coming to fix the oven (part costs $58), my toilet was leaking. He did get my oven working! Yeah! While fixing the toilet, he cracked the tank and had to buy a new one! He did get that fixed finally! And he got my sink fixed again. This time I hope for good!
Now I am taking a deep breath and hoping nothing else goes wrong!

I know the feeling. After raising 3 boys, I've had my share of "why?" moments but thank goodness they also can be delightful. I'm sure girls are equally difficult but the boys would do things like leave live snakes in their pocket or try to ride on the revolving ceiling fan by looping a rope on it or see if a rock would scratch the inside of "super strong, impermeable" window glass on a new van (I wish the salesman hadn't said that part about the glass being so strong, made the guys want to test it). It scratches with a rock so I guess his speech was all hype (surprise, surprise).
Anyway, we'd have moments like that and then the dog would go and fall off the roof or something.
