The winds started picking up after lunch today, and at some point after that, the one leaf I had been watching on the tree departed for parts unknown. Goodbye, little leaf!
Now, I'm just eyeballing that really BLACK portion of the sky, and trying to figure out if there's any way to avoid going out after dinner tonight. Unfortunately, my fiance needs some supplies for a project due tomorrow, and I also need some craft supplies. Mine could be put off until tomorrow night, but I would prefer to get them tonight.
It's so weird, having been from somewhere where we got TORNADOS, and now being terrified of a wind storm. You would think the terrain here would slow the wind down, wouldn't you?

I am sure you are safer with a wind storm than with tornadoes.

Don't go out if it looks too dangerous - no craft project is worth your safety!!!
All of the leaf's brothers and sisters nearby have also departed the tree. Hopefully they're all swirling around somewhere together. :)
